GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY – A Weird, Wild, Trip Into the Stars

GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY is one of the most entertaining movies I’ve ever seen. In fact, I think THE AVENGERS is maybe the only movie in recent memory that rivals it for sheer “fun factor.” There are certainly higher quality, more intelligently plotted, and better paced adventure movies out there. However much you liked the first Hobbit film, you will probably like THE DESOLATION OF SMAUG a little bit more. If the first movie did it, the second does it more, and with a bit more payoff. Unfortunately, if the first movie did something poorly, it did more of that too. I could nitpick Spielberg’s LINCOLN for maybe two scenes in the film that I thought were a tad on the clunky side. Besides that, I can find absolutely nothing to criticize it for. The acting is phenomenal. The dialogue, though difficult to decipher at times is magnificently written.
